Introduction
MCA is the Master of Computer Applications. MCA Entrance Exams are based on an All India basis and on Institute & College. MCA is a 3-Year (6 – semesters) Master’s in Computer science and Admission to this course is generally done through various MCA entrance tests. All universities have their own eligibility for MCA Entrance. But the basic conditions for MCA entrance exam are mentioned below.
Many reputative universities offer admissions for MCA degree by conducting MCA Entrance exam under different patterns, generally of objective type questions ranging from set of 75 questions to 250 questions from subjects including-
- Numerical ability (Math’s of +1,+2 level and little bit of graduation topics)
- Reasoning
- Quantitative ability (known as commercial Math’s includes topics from 9th & 10th, some commerce based simple topics)
- Computer Awareness (simple questions based on hardware, software, programming languages, database and other topics of graduation level syllabus)
- English(simple English grammar viz. comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, cloze test, jumbled words)
When MCA Entrance Exam conducted:
Every year in the month of Feb, April, May, June, maximum university conduct MCA Entrance test in the form of objective test for the merit list of admissions in MCA. Some universities select students on the basis of ranks in entrance test alone & some universities combined checks the rank in entrance, as well as aggregate marks in the qualifying degree generally graduation, 99% universities, have negative marking scheme i.e. for every wrong question (-1/4th or-1/3rd marks will be deducted).
Eligibility for MCA Entrance Exam:
For admission in MCA aspirant has to appear in MCA Entrance exam and must have good rank in the exam along with fulfilling of other eligibility. Some universities have eligibility criteria like minimum marks(50% or 60%) in the graduation level degree and math’s as a subject in +2 level. aspirant has to fill the forms for the entrance test of the desired university in which one wants to take admission. Our website will give you the informations about when and where to fill the form. Aspirants can personally visit our institute to get free counseling or any query about MCA Entrance exam.
Note:
Some of other institutions require from the candidates a minimum average of 60% at graduation (50% for SC/ST candidates) in subjects other than languages. All the questions are of (O.B.Q) objective Questions. The candidate has to choose the option which in his opinion is right / true to obtain marks.
